77,745 Navotas families receive Christmas gifts
Some 77,745 Navoteño families received Christmas hams from the city government of Navotas.
"Our employees visited the homes of each Navoteño family to make sure they get their Pamaskong Handog. We wanted to make them feel that despite trying times, our city government will strive to make their holiday season a little more cheerful," Mayor Toby Tiangco said.
Tiangco also launched online games through his Facebook page to help Navoteño students struggling with their online classes.
"We could not provide gadgets to all our students, but we could give them equal opportunity to win one through games. The games also gave them a chance to nominate other students who do not have their own cellphone," the mayor said.
"The year 2020 has been difficult for all of us, but we could always help make each other's burden a little lighter," he added.
