Navotas agriculture office distributes boat repair kits 

The Navotas City Agriculture Office has distributed boat repair kits to 11 fisherfolks who were the first beneficiaries of the program. The initiative was funded from the winnings of the local government in the 2021 Fisheries Compliance Audit.

The program aims to provide Navoteño boat owners with materials for repair and maintenance in case their boats get damaged due to calamities such as typhoons and fires. The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the assistance, saying that it will help them save on repair costs and improve their livelihood.

The Navotas City government has been supporting the local fishing industry as it is one of the major sources of income for its residents. The distribution of boat repair kits is just one of the many initiatives aimed at providing assistance and support to fisherfolks in the city.
