Navotas college sends off 94 Education students
Navotas Polytechnic College recently held a Pinning and Send-off Ceremony for 94 fourth-year Education students who will begin their training as pre-service teachers in various public schools in Navotas. The ceremony is a traditional rite of passage for student teachers before they start their fieldwork.
The students will be assigned as pre-service teachers for three months to learn and gain experience as teachers. They will be mentored and supervised by experienced teachers to hone their teaching skills. This training is an integral part of their course work and will prepare them for their future careers as educators.
Mayor John Rey Tiangco attended the ceremony and reminded the student teachers to always be professional and continue to learn additional skills to be prepared for teaching in the future. The mayor also expressed his gratitude to the students for choosing to serve in Navotas and for helping to improve the education system in the city.
The Pinning and Send-off Ceremony is a way to inspire and motivate student teachers to take their responsibilities seriously and to provide support for them as they embark on their teaching journey. The event is a testament to the city's commitment to education and the development of future educators.
