Navotas orients 541 TUPAD beneficiaries
Last March 2, the Orientation and Contract Signing for the first batch of beneficiaries of the Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program for this year were conducted in Navotas City. A total of 541 Navoteños will once again have the opportunity to have employment under the said program.
TUPAD is a program under the Department of Labor and Employment that aims to provide emergency employment to those who have lost their livelihood. Navotas City's Congressman Toby Tiangco, together with the NavotaAs Hanapbuhay Center, is collaborating with the program to assist the beneficiaries.
Through TUPAD, the beneficiaries will receive daily wage for a minimum of 10 days while conducting community work that will help improve their localities. The beneficiaries will also undergo orientation to ensure that they are aware of the program's objectives and their roles as beneficiaries.
The program aims to provide temporary employment opportunities to those who are in need and, at the same time, help in the development of the community. The local government of Navotas encourages its constituents to take advantage of the program and to work together in building a more prosperous community.
